The Village of Camillus has contracted with a company called Display Sales to produce banners of former Village of Camillus residents who served in the armed forces. If you have someone in your family who has served in the armed forces and wish to honor him/her on a display banner, and they were from the village you can do so.
The banners will be in color and will be displayed on brackets extended from the village power/telephone poles. The vinyl banners are 30" x 60" and the images will be displayed on both sides. They will be mounted on special brackets which extend out from the poles.
The banners will be displayed from April through November and guaranteed for placement for at least 3 years. The cost of the banner is $150.00.
We have available a total of 28 poles for placement so this offer is on a first come, first serve basis. The banners will be placed on a random basis. Ie: You will not be able to select a specific pole for placement.
If interested, please drop off your veteran's photo of your service member or veterans to the Village Hall @ 37 Main Street along with your check for $150.00 made out to the Village of Camillus. We also will need details such as name, rank, division and branch of service. We have an example picture of a service banner @ the Village Hall.
This offer available through June 10th, 2022.

After 2 years of not having a Memorial Day Parade and fundraising - the Parade is finally back!
Many people do not realize that alothough some participants do not charge to participate, many of the bands do charge a fee to be a part of our parade. This fee is paid with donations from businesses and the general public. If you would like to donate you can mail a check to:
Camillus Memorial Day Committee
P.O. Box 243
Camillus, NY 13031
or, new this year, you can donate online at our website camillusparade.org. At camillusparade.org, you will find participation sign up forms, guidelines for having a float, and donation forms to put your name in the program for your gift of $25 and higher.
You can also "be a star, buy a star" for a $10 donation and your name (or the name you request) will be placed on a star and on display at the Town Hall. This sign with the stars will be part of a float on Memorial Day for all to see the many donors and "in memory" or "in honor of".
Thank you for your participation and donations. Questions can be emailed to camillusparade@gmail.com.
